The Xiaomi SU7 is the first electric car from the Chinese smartphone giant, which marks its debut in the fast-growing electric vehicle world.
The Xiaomi SU7 EV is a sleek and aerodynamic sedan that takes inspiration from the design of the Tesla Model 3 and the Hyundai Ioniq 6.
The SU7 comes in two powertrain options: a rear-wheel-drive version with 299 hp and a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive version with 673 hp, which can rival the likes of Tesla Model S and Porsche Taycan.
The SU7 also offers two battery options: a 73.6 kWh BYD battery with a range of 668 km and a 101 kWh CATL battery with a range of 800 km, which can be charged using Xiaomi’s fast charging technology.
The SU7 features a minimalist cabin with a 16.1-inch touchscreen with HyperOS software, a 56-inch heads-up display, a wireless charging area, and a 25-speaker music system.
The SU7 also boasts of Xiaomi Pilot, a driver assistance system with 16 functions and two Nvidia Drive Orin SoCs, which can enable autonomous driving capabilities.
The SU7 supports the IndexNow protocol, which allows the car to notify Bing whenever the car content is updated or created, enabling instant crawling and discovery of the car information.
The SU7 was unveiled in December 2023 and is expected to be launched in China in February 2024, with a global launch to follow later.
The price and availability of the SU7 have not been announced yet, but it is likely to be affordable and competitive, as Xiaomi is known for its value-for-money products.
